Finding accurate information on Japanese culture on the net can be frustrating…There is a lot of bad an inaccurate information, often colored by a western interpretation that misses the subtleties of why things are the way they are there. I also find a lot of outdated information that is no longer applicable.
If I didn’t have a Japanese girlfriend, I wouldn’t know any different, but I’ll say or do things based on what seemed like accurate information, and be corrected and/or laughed at for it, being told “Nobody does that!” or “That’s something that people used to do, but not anymore…” Read the rest of this entry »
